EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
Crowley has an excellent reputation in its approach to staff and education. Staff are actively encouraged to continually improve their skills in all areas of the organisation from administration, and food handling to nursing and hotel services.
A special position of Clinical Nurse Specialist (Coordinator of Education, Research and Training) has been in place for several years. This position is responsible for the ongoing education of staff;
- education and training of staff
- responsible for liaising with industry and training bodies to ensure that Crowley staff are appropriately qualified and skilled
- develop staff awareness of Crowley’s values and commitment to promoting dignity and self worth to residents and fellow staff members.
All new staff are inducted through an orientation program ensuring all staff are aware of our shared values and commitment to promoting the dignity and self worth of our residents.
EDUCATION CENTRE AND MEETING ROOMS
Crowley has recently opened a $500,000 Education Centre which is utilised for staff training and development. The Education Centre provides on-site, state of the art training facility.
This facility is available for industry meetings and seminars and is intended to promote training and opportunity within the Aged Care and Community Care industry.
